Life comes in seasons. The time has come for me to get back into the studio again. Over the past three years, I have written around 40 songs, and in the coming months, I plan to choose 13 to record for my first “real” full-length release. Since 2009, when I released “the Clay, the Seed, the Stone” I’ve been in many places geographically, vocationally, financially, and emotionally. I’ve been able to document my journeys, joys, and hardships through my music and I’m excited to begin work on a solid full-length record with the help of some very talented musicians and producers. I would like to invite you to take part in this process with me!
I feel extremely passionate about this group of songs; I feel destined to make this record. Although, I have yet to start the actual recording process, I plan to collaborate with an Atlanta based producer instead of self-producing like I have done in the past. Don’t worry! I plan to be intimately involved with the production and mixing process so that I can maintain the integrity of my music, along with the style and tone that are characteristic of my earlier work.
To all those who support the record, I hope to be in touch with you during the recording process and would love to hear your suggestions for songs that you think should be a part of this new project!
I will be using the majority of the contributions I raise through this campaign to fund my project, but I also plan to donate a portion of the proceeds to World Bicycle Relief (WBR), which is an organization dedicated to providing independence and livelihood through access to a bicycle. Those of you who know me well know that I love to bike! The simple, sustainable nature of bicycles empowers individuals, their families and their communities. So this organization and its mission to provide transportation to those in need is a very special cause to me.
I hope to see you when I hit the road next year.
Thank you so very, very much!
